Re-opened October 2009
Patrick Wilkie who was Neil Brazier’s head chef at the former Salt Brasserie has opened his new Restaurant and Bar “Island Life” on the waterfront in Paihia, Bay of Islands.
Whilst spending the past 15 years roaming France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and the United Kingdom Patrick has accrued the culinary knowledge and management of many different cuisines which are now being slowly instilled at Island Life. The menu has been created using some of New Zealand’s finest down to earth ingredients along with European and Antipodean twists and turns. The restaurant has been refurbished to reflect a more casual and relaxed venue which also has a fresh approach to the food, atmosphere and pricing. We still offer catering and fantastic conference facilities for group bookings. We have incorporated live acoustic music while dining during the weekends and have a full calendar of fun events for this summer.
